Buddy Media Adds Another All-Star to the Team

We’re incredibly excited to announce the addition of Matthew Flanagan to the Buddy Media team!  Matthew is a digital media superstar, who has joined the company as our new General Manager in charge of expanding our already thriving portfolio of sports, media, and entertainment clients. He has more than ten years of experience in the online publishing and advertising industries – most recently spearheading a ‘white label’ rich media strategy at Google’s DoubleClick that allowed advertisers to serve premium multimedia ads in a repeatable, scalable manner.

Matthew also played an integral role in bringing the Olympics into the digital world by partnering with Microsoft and NBC Sports on an initiative that melded Silverlight and DoubleClick technology into a single video ad serving platform. He’s no stranger to the sports world – Matthew also helped the NFL monetize its online video content through home page takeover ads for the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl on NFL.com.

Our CEO, Mike Lazerow said it best at the BDI Social Sports Marketing Forum, “these industries (sports & entertainment) are just beginning to realize the largely untapped potential of Facebook as a platform for fan engagement.”  Matthew Flanagan will be on the front lines, shepherding sports franchises and media conglomerates into Buddy Media’s pasture. There’s no better person for the job.
