To say that the last several weeks have been eventful at Buddy Media would be an understatement. The launch of the Buddy Media platform has kept everyone busy – day and night. Here’s a brief recap on the projects that we’ve launched in the past month:
Summit Films (Twilight: New Moon, Letters to Juliet, Remember Me): We worked overtime to get the New Moon Fan Page designed and launched in time for the movie’s premiere. The page has average approximately 20,000 new fans per day since the launch of our custom tab and the highlighted video from the movie’s YouTube channel sparked massive engagement and sharing across Facebook and Twitter. Summit was so pleased with our work on the Twilight campaign, that they quickly returned for custom tabs for two more upcoming releases.
National Hockey League: The NHL Public Profile Tab provides hockey fans with a robust social dashboard that lets them opinions, gifts, videos, and individual events from this year’s schedule of games.
Southwest Airlines: The ‘Bags Fly Free’ Public Profile Tab highlights elements of Southwest’s ‘What Would You Do For $100′ campaign. Users submitted videos for a chance to win several travel packages to resort destinations around the United States.
TiVo: This holiday-themed Tab for TiVo’s Public Profile gives users a chance to pick their dream family – from a choice of classic television characters. In addition, a whimsical virtual gifting strategy tasks users with re-gifting from a selection of crumby holiday presents.
Aeropostale and P.S. from Aeropostale: The two custom Public Profile Tabs allow fans of Aeropostale brands to download stylish wallpaper for their desktops and share garments from each store’s extensive collections as virtual gifts.
Dole: The 150 year old produce provider dipped it’s foot into the social media waters with the launch of a Dole Fan Page that allows users to send healthy snacks to friends in the form of virtual fruits and veggies.
Yoostar: This custom application was built as a companion piece to the Public Profile that we launched in September. The app aggregates video performances from Yoostar’s tour of college campuses around the US and gives Facebook users a chance to vote on their favorites.
Etsy: We built two Public Profile Tabs for Etsy that are so cool and so revolutionary, that words won’t do justice – this is Web 2.0 defined.
AMD: In celebration of their 40th anniversary, the micro-processing innovator tasked our team with the development of a Facebook Sweepstakes that rewards 20 lucky winners with XBOX 360’s and Nintendo Wiis.
Better Homes and Gardens: The BHG Public Profile Tab is filled with a cornucopia of interactive content including a slideshow of holiday recipes, a robust aggregation of tweets from the magazine and its fans, as well as an extensive collection of holiday-themed virtual gifts.
Scrapblog: The Scrapblog Public Profile Tab serves as a teaser to the massive amount of content available on the brand’s website. Videos, images, and virtual gifts give users a sneak peak at what’s possible within Scrapblog’s online creativity platform.
Obviously, we’re not going to stop now. Look for launches in the coming weeks from more huge brands who have embraced social media as a means to reaching consumers and fans.
