Vice President & General Manager, AceBucks (NYC-based Buddy Media)

With more than 1.5 million users, AceBucks is the largest loyalty program on the social networks, including Facebook and MySpace. Users earn AceBucks by playing games, taking surveys, installing applications, referring friends and more. They burn AceBucks by buying virtual or real items through the AceBucks Mall and on AceBucks Auctions. AceBucks users have already bought iPhones, iPods, gaming systems, gift cards and much more with their AceBucks. Buddy Media's goal is to take the AceBucks concept, which has proven and significant user traction, and grow it into the most profitable loyalty program on the social networks. Position Overview

The company is looking for a Vice President & General Manager of AceBucks to create, grow and manage the business. The Vice President & General Manager of AceBucks will work directly with and for the CEO of the Company, Michael Lazerow. The position will manage a team of business development managers, account managers and customer service representatives and have full P&L responsibility for the AceBucks business. The hire will be a member of Buddy Media's senior management team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build a 7-person team to manage the AceBucks business
  • Develop partnerships with developers, vendors, business partners and corporate partners
  • Manage current and new relationships with corporate partners
  • Create and execute a marketing plan to drive AceBucks adoption
  • Develop relationships with current and new social media developers who want to leverage the AceBucks platform as their loyalty program
  • Create and manage the objectives and operational details of the AceBucks marketing channels and levers
  • Help maintain solid relationships with all social media platforms served by Buddy Media, including Facebook, MySpace, Bebo and others
  • Represent Buddy Media at key social media tradeshows and conferences
  • Serve as the primary link between AceBucks and the Buddy Media advertising sales team, working with the sales team to drive revenue to AceBucks
  • Manage all reporting, tracking and analytics of AceBucks
  • Create and oversee the AceBucks P&L and budget

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following:

  • 7+ years in the internet and loyalty industry, with at least 3+ years working for a major loyalty program or marketers.
  • Strong business development background in the loyalty market, which ideally includes developing corporate relationships or business-to-business internet-based, loyalty businesses. Management experience is a requirement.
  • High energy and creativity with an entrepreneurial, get-it-done approach.
  • Comprehensive understanding of quantitative methods, together with superb attention to detail

An MBA is not required. But a proven ability to take an idea from concept to mature product is a must. If you do not have deep loyalty program experience, please do not apply. You will not be considered for the position.

Salary and Benefits

Buddy Media is looking for the right person to join our management team and help the company grow. Compensation will not be an issue for the right person. The compensation package will include market-based cash compensation and a significant equity position in Buddy Media.
