The Company

In today’s social media world, every brand needs a Buddy. The Buddy Media Platform gives brands and agencies total control over their social marketing campaigns, allowing them to launch, maintain and measure their brands’ efforts.  Some of the world’s largest brands, including Anheuser Busch, JCrew, Southwest Airlines, Disney and others, license the Buddy Media Platform to create, manage and track their social media profiles and campaigns. Based in New York, Buddy Media is a privately held company backed by Softbank Capital, European Founders Fund, GreyCroft Partners, Peter Thiel, Mark Pincus, Roger Ehrenberg, Howard Lindzon and additional investors.

Responsibilities
  • Work extensively implementing sites into our Platform/CMS from HTML/CSS templates.
  • Collaborate with our product development department to offer suggestions or ask questions regarding site layouts and design decisions.
  • Collaborate with our tech department to create and implement client-side solutions.
  • Work on multiple projects and jobs simultaneously requiring stringent attention to detail and excellent time-management capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Excellent proficiency in the following: Semantic (X)HTML, CSS
  • DOM and working knowledge of some JavaScript preferred
  • Experience building website templates (cutups) from layered design comps (Photoshop PSDs) preferred and/or experience modifying them
  • Knowledge of browser differences/limitations and how to create cross-browser solutions
  • 1+ years experience working in a professional, team-oriented environment and/or experience working on commercial sites
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems such as WordPress
  • Knowledge of Facebook and Facebook applications
  • Knowledge of Facebook FBML and FJBS a strong plus
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance required
  • Able to work on multiple projects and work to deadlines

The CSS Producer will be a member of the Technology Team, led by the VP of Technology.
