This week, it was Blindfolded Musical Chairs. Congrats to Patrick who grabbed the final coveted seat with a well-timed hip check to Greg.

The staff anted up for a good cause. While the rookies did their best, the deck was stacked against them as the clear favorite, Patrick, took home the winnings. Patrick is donating his winnings to Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting science and engineering to young kids. Congrats, Patrick!

‘Tis the season for socks, apparently. The team enjoyed an annual holiday gift exchange thanks to the generosity of Kass and Mike. Handed a cool $100, we drew names and went on a quest to find the perfect gifts, which in one case was an electric kaleidoscope. Suprisingly, socks were the most frequently gifted item. We feasted on a delicious lunch at Da Umberto to exchange our gifts and reflect on our successful year.

Halloween in the Office

Not one to shy away from fun, the Buddy Media office celebrated Halloween in style. Special appearances were made by Don King, Joe the Plumber, and the Royal Tenenbaum family. We endured stares on the subway in full regalia enroute to a team lunch. (What? Hasn’t anyone seen a gorilla on the subway before?)

Buddy Media Kickball Game

Fueled by days of smack talk, the normally cohesive Buddy Media Team split in two for a fierce game of kickball in Central Park this past summer. Adorned with face paint and team colors, the competitive teams took to the diamond to secure bragging rights. Errant kicks to the head and bloodied knees didn’t distract anyone. To borrow from Jimmy Dugan, “There’s no cryin’ in kickball.”

Let’s hope no one gives up his day job with Buddy Media! The team bellied up to the “Top Tunes” karaoke bar on E. 53rd Street to butcher classic tunes. Let’s just say that some of us should only sing in our showers while others amazed. Luke’s show-stopping version of Elvis Costello’s “Alison” was the talk of the office for days.

It was a test of wills! Divided into teams, the staff was unleashed on the Big Apple for five frantic hours, with only $50 and a digital camera for each team. To complete the tasks, teams needed the courage to negotiate with pedestrians and civil servants, and the street smart savvy necessary to traverse from the Upper West Side to the southern tip of the island.
