How well do you know your hair stylist? We hope you get to know them a lot better! Today Buddy Media is happy to announce a partnership with L’Oréal USA Professional Products Division (PPD), where more than 4,000 salons nationwide that carry L'Oreal products will have access to the Buddy Media Platform to help build their business.

Redken and L’Oréal Professionnel will be launching the program this month, followed by Matrix and then Kerastase and Mizani later in the year. Collectively, the brands aim to have 4,200 salons on the program by the summer of 2012. Each brand will use the Buddy Media Platform differently, depending on their salons’ needs and the brand culture.

Here's what Rachel Weiss, assistant vice president for digital strategy, L’Oreal USA Professional Products Division, has to say about the partnership:

Facebook presents amazing opportunities to help salons engage with their clients and attract new ones. Through our partnership with a best-in-class partner like Buddy Media, L’Oreal Professional Products Division will be providing salons with Facebook tools and technology, and showing salons how to use these to their advantage - with the end goal of helping salons promote and build their business.

And here's Buddy Media CEO Michael Lazerow:

L'Oreal is one of the most well known beauty brands in the world, and we're very excited to partner with them to scale Facebook for their salons. The Buddy Media Platform will enable L’Oreal to provide all of their salons with a powerful tool to build their businesses via customer engagement.

Needless to say, we think this is a very smart strategy by L'Oreal and we're excited to help them roll this out!
