Buddy Media Teams with UPromise to Help Drive New Scholarship Initiative

We’ve spent the last couple of years extolling the power of Facebook to drive brand awareness through engaging and interactive social content.  There’s a certain satisfaction that comes with watching the social reach of our client’s Pages expand by leaps and bounds. But that satisfaction is nothing in comparison to the feeling that comes from working on a  a project that has a noble purpose.

That’s why it’s our pleasure to announce the launch of the UPromise Public Profile on Facebook.  The Facebook page will be a large part of a wide-reaching initiative designed to help college-bound students pay for their academic tuition. Made possible by lead sponsor Bank of America and contributions from MasterCard and Rewards Network, the UPromise Scholarship will award $2,500 to one hundred high achieving students who want to pursue a college education.

How can a Facebook page help? Simple – UPromise will donate one dollar to the scholarship fund (up to $25,000) for every new Fan from now until February 15th. Fans can then subsequently share their affinity for UPromise and their charitable campaign by spreading targeted messaging to their friends on Facebook.  UPromise is counting on a huge viral lift from their Facebook campaign, so check out their page and become a fan.
